Spitfire, Captain of the 3rd Lancers

Hello again.

Here is my next picture based on the awesome fanfic Equestria Total War. This time we have Captain Spitfire.


Story Spoilers Below:


Basically during the fic Spitfire joins the Equestrian military and winds up serving in Rainbow Dash's regiment, the 3rd Lancers. She forms a friendship with Rainbow as her second in command and they fight together during the first battle of the fic (The Battle of Westmarch). During this battle Rainbow disobeys orders to launch a diversionary attack, and instead end up destroying most of the gryphon cavalry. This drags the pony army into a pitch battle instead of the Princesses planned ambush. Almost seven times as many ponies die than is estimated for the ambush but Rainbow's actions won the ponies a great victory and she is hailed a hero and promoted along with Spitfire (Who becomes the new leader of the 3rd Lancers). Rainbow begins to blame herself for all the ponies who died and begins to refuse the friendship of her friends as she feels she cannot lead and be friends with anypony. During the second battle Spitfire and Rainbow fight together once again but tragically Spitfire is stuck down by a spear and stabbed in the chest. Rainbow saves her from a killing blow, but Spitfire would later die in Rainbow's arms ( ). Her death however was not in vain, as she told Dash that the ponies in the army did not blame Dash for the deaths at the first battle and instead see her as a great hero for it. This helps Rainbow to realise that she does need her friends, which causes her Element of Harmony to activate and prevent the pony army from being wiped out.

Ok then, with this picture i have Spitfire in an Equestrian Army uniform, with a simply breastplate (All the armour the Lancers wore). She also has a strange little bow like attachment under her wing. This is where her lance attaches to her body. The lance can be seen on the ground in front of her. The lance is in its retracted state (The lances in the fic are mechanical and retract when not in use) and is ready to be equipped. Her helmet is also in front of her. Its a nice and fancy looking helmet, very similar to the kinds of helmets the pegasi wear (A greek style hoplite helmet). She does not have the spiky hair she has when she's in her wonderbolt outfit (I went for the style with her mane let down). Her cutie mark is one i've seen a lot of Spitfire drawings use.
