Here is a picture of a younger Celestia with a baby Philomena on Celestia's birthday, about to open a present most likely from Luna. I really like how Philomena turned out on this one.

I concur with the alternate interpretation: The present IS Luna, and this will be the first time they meet. This also means this is perhaps LUNA's birthday, or a day or two after...
